Lucas Tax + Energy Consulting (LT+E) is a newly formed tax practice specializing in tax incentives and credits for energy efficiency construction projects, renewable energy equipment installation, and alternative energy technologies.  This specialty area includes engagements such as conducting energy efficiency studies(IRC Section 179D) for commercial buildings, cost segregation reviews, energy related tax incentive consulting, as well as research and development tax credit claims and defense.

In today's business environment, the energy incentives landscape has been expanded beyond the utilities industry to include participation by more and more companies across a diverse scope of industries. The term "Going Green" is no longer a one-time marketing campaign, it is now viewed and widely accepted as a company management paradigm designed to provide savings--both in energy and financial resources.  LT+E's role is to assist companies in understanding and developing strategies to capture the available tax incentives, grants, and benefits of the green economy, including deductions for energy efficiency design and credits for renewable and alternative energy investments.
