NABA Charlotte is please to be hosting our 4th Annual

Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) - Summer Residency Camp

Sunday, July 27th to Thursday, August 1st 

This year we are partnering with Queens University located minutes from Uptown Charlotte.

We are accepting applications postmarked by Monday, April 14th, 2014

What is ACAP?

ACAP is a trademark program owned by the National Association of Black Accountants Inc. and is held in 18 major cities across the country. The primary objective of ACAP is to increase understanding of accounting and business career opportunity among high school students from underrepresented ethnic groups.  This is a 5 day summer residency camp where students reside overnight (under direct supervision).

Who Can Apply to ACAP?

This program is for high school students entering their sophomore, junior or senior year the Fall of 2014

Camp Program

The camp program will give participants the following:

  • Introduction into college life
  • Overview of career paths for accounting and finance
  • Review of business majors including accounting and finance
  • Personal Development - Personality/Career Assessment (Myers Briggs)
  • Group Case Study - with Final Presentation
  • Onsite Tour with one of our Corporate Partners
  • Interview and Resume Workshop - Including professional dress
  • Dining Etiquette
  • Guide to Networking and Social Media/Email Etiquette
  • Games, Team Building and Social Activities
