Join us as we explore and learn about current Professional Ethics Laws and Rules

This course is structured for the participant to satisfactorily   complete the North Carolina required 2 Credit CPA Ethics Continuing Education course. This course is prepared and conducted in accordance with the regulations of the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners pursuant to an approved and valid program sponsor agreement with NASBA. 

 For building security purposes, all attendees must RSVP by Tuesday March 29th

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

 

Art Winstead has spent his entire life in Greensboro, NC. He attended the University of South Carolina and earned his B.S. in Business (with a concentration in Accounting and a minor in Political Science) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In addition to being a CPA, Art is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Financial Forensic (CFF), and holds the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). Art is a consulting and testifying expert witness on accounting, auditing, and financial matters. His clients have included state and federal government agencies and major law firms. Art has also authored numerous CPE courses and articles regarding accounting, auditing, fraud, and ethics.

 

Art joined DMJ in 1978 and became a partner in 1984. He is a general services partner in the Greensboro office and is the firm-wide Accounting, Auditing, and Quality Control Partner. He serves as team captain and team member for on-site peer reviews and off-site engagement reviews throughout the country. Art is the current A&A Consultant-Director for CPAmerica International and has also served as Chairman of the CPAmerica Accounting and Auditing and Continuing Professional Education Executive Committees. Art currently serves on the NCACPA Board of Directors as well as the AICPA Board of Examiners Practice Sponsor Group for the current evaluation of the future of the CPA exam. He teaches Ethics for CPAs and accounting and auditing continuing education courses throughout the country.
